Today was another lovely day. We were informed late last night that our pick-up time from
the hotel was changed to a few
hours earlier because some of the roads in Athens were going to be
closed due to a demonstration. At
breakfast our waiter told us that today the head of the Communist party in
Greece would be speaking in front of the Parliament Building. In the words of the waiter “he is going
to try to convince us we should become North Korea.”

There was a lot of activity around the hotel but no
problems. We were whisked to the
port in Piraeus and on the ship by 12:30.
By the time we had lunch our suitcases were in our room. After muster
drill we had our meet & greet with our Cruise Critic group. Given the fact that the ship only
carries 450 passengers, we had an amazing turnout. We had 28 people there. We chatted and had a few drinks until we sailed away from
Piraeus.
The Odyssey is as lovely as her sister the Quest and our
cabin is as nice as we remembered it.
After a good dinner we turned in since tomorrow will be an early and
busy day.
