We’ve had a relaxing couple of days doing not much of
anything. The seas have been so
calm that most of the time you wouldn’t know we’re on a ship. It’s also quite warm but not
oppressive. We’ve been eating
breakfast and lunch outside most days.
On October 19 we had the Galley Market Lunch in the main
dining room. It’s a special event
Seabourn does on each cruise. In
the center of the room tables are set up with cold dishes and salads. There are
crab claws, large shrimp (for shrimp cocktail), mussels on the half shell and a
variety of other things. Another
set of tables has desserts and are they ever beautiful! For hot food you have to go back through
the galley. On the way in you are
served a shot of ice cold vodka just to prime the pump. Throughout the galley there are a
variety of stations set up with pastas, carving stations of various meats,
assorted ethnic specialties, soups etc.
Decisions, decisions. How
does one decide what to eat?

On Saturday the 19th we had a cocktail party in
our cabin for about 20 people.
Seabourn does a very nice job of setting up hot and cold hors d’oeuvres
and drinks. They even provided a
bartender. I think we all enjoyed
ourselves and it was fun to socialize with our new-found friends.
Our trivia team continues to run in second or third place.
We’re having a lot of fun so it doesn’t matter to us, although I do think one
team member takes it much more seriously. Since the sun is over the yardarm
when the game begins, we have a Bloody Mary to stimulate our brains.
The food served has been excellent and the wines being
poured with meals have been very nice.
We like not having to sign a slip for everything we order. That’s one of the really good things
about all-inclusive sailing.
Well not much else to report for now.

It's good you had some time to rest up after all the long hikes in the desert. They sounded pretty trying, though worth it.
Enjoy a rest before India
Finally caught up on your blog. What a fascinating time you're having. Totally envious!!
