October 21 - Last Sea Day

Today was another incredibly calm day with much higher humidity.  I guess the temperature is getting us into training for our time in India.  This morning we had the final trivia game.  Each team was supposed to wear a costume of some sort.  Since our team name was “The Titanics” we came in our life vests with several of our members adding other accessories.  I thought I had taken a picture of two of the funniest guys on the team but I guess I was laughing too hard.  One came in his bathrobe under his life jacket and carried an umbrella with a roll of toilet paper stuck on the handle in one hand and a bottle of vodka in the other.  You’re told during the muster drill to bring only the essentials if called to muster station and he had brought his.  I guess you had to be there to appreciate it.

Anyway after disastrous performances on the first couple of days (that’s why we named ourselves the Titanics), we actually won!  We also won for the best costumes so we got lots of prizes to bring home.

We spent the rest of the day packing and saying our goodbyes to our newly made friends.  We have met some wonderful folks that we hope we’ll see in the future. Cruising is a great way to meet people from many different countries and backgrounds.

Tomorrow we disembark in Mumbai.  India here we come.
