October 7 - Venice and the Ruby Princess

This morning we woke up to a foggy morning. After breakfast we headed across the Rialto Bridge to the market. Today’s was much better than the one on Monday. All the fish vendors were open and we saw all manner of sea creatures. Who would have thought there were so many varieties of squid? After taking in our fill of the sights, sounds and smells (not to mention taking lots of photos) we headed back to Al Ponte Antico. Around noon we called for a water taxi and said our goodbyes.

When we arrived at the port we found that in addition to our ship there were two others docked as well. There was a traffic jam of water taxis unloading passengers, but without too much delay we were ashore, checked in and onboard. Our cabin is beautiful with a large balcony and great views.

We spent the rest of the day unpacking and relaxin
